Local Movers in Reno, NV

All The Right Moves has run household moves across the Truckee Meadows since 2010. Owner Chase Hargrove grew up near the Truckee River and still walks the harder jobs himself.

Owner-run, Reno born and raised

Dial us and it’s Chase or a mover on his crew who picks up — never a call center. Tell us which stairwells run tight and which rooms run heavy, and we’ve got the day mapped out long before it arrives.

A written estimate you can trust

We build your number from a real room-by-room inventory, with pads, dollies, shrink-wrap and wardrobe boxes already included — no vague curbside guess.

Full house or just the fragile stuff

Kitchen cabinets empty into dish barrels, hanging clothes lift straight into wardrobe cartons, and a made-to-fit crate protects every mirror, flat-screen and slab of stone counter.

Careful hands over any terrain

The crew chief who sizes up your home leads the truck and does the final walk-through with you — from Sierra cabin roads to downtown high-rises, one team stays with your load.

Crossing town to a new build in Spanish Springs, downsizing off McCarran Blvd, or hauling a cabin load up the Mount Rose Highway — our Reno crews handle household moves from the first box to the last. You decide how it’s priced: run the clock hourly, or lock a set rate once we know the room count.

What a local move costs

  • Two movers and a truck: $139 an hour
  • Three movers and a truck: $195 an hour
  • One-hour minimum; pads, dollies, shrink-wrap and wardrobe boxes included

Prefer a fixed figure? A studio usually lands between $380 and $600, a two-bedroom $680 to $1,100, and a three-bedroom $1,160 to $1,840. We cover Washoe, Storey and Lyon counties and run south into the Carson Valley — Sparks, Carson City, Fernley, Minden and the Tahoe cabin roads included.

What Comes Standard

Every item below is built into how our crews run your move — none of it becomes a surprise line on the final bill.

  • A two- or three-mover crew matched to your home size and move date
  • Priced your way — an open hourly clock or a locked total agreed in advance
  • Pads, hand trucks, wrap and closet cartons riding along free with every crew
  • Beds, tables and shelving disassembled on one end and set up on the other
  • Long carries up Tahoe cabin drives and steep Mount Rose and Sierra grades
  • Pianos, gun safes and tight split-level stairwells handled by Rafael Ortiz's lead crew
  • Coverage across Washoe, Storey and Lyon counties and the Carson Valley

What Reno Customers Say

★ Yelp
★★★★★

“We have used All the Right Moves twice before for local moves. This time we were preparing to move to North Carolina and reached out to Jordan to inquire about getting help packing two pods. He explained their pricing structure and we scheduled accordingly. The movers arrived on time and quickly got to work loading the boxes and furniture, and were careful to stretch-wrap and use the many blankets we had. We are always impressed with how quickly they work and the amount of time saved. We would highly recommend to others!”

“I was expecting a very stressful moving situation, but no! No damage was done to the old or the new apartment, and all my things are safe. At the end they charged me fairly, billing the job as a 2-man crew plus truck. My new apartment is on the top floor which added difficulty, and I have a lot of stuff, yet the whole process was smooth and stress free. All of them were friendly, polite and professional. I would definitely hire them for my future moves. They are good, hire them!”

“They moved my mom from her house into her smaller condo. Did a great job and gave her a senior discount without her having to ask for it! The three guys who moved her furniture were careful and polite.”

Questions We Hear a Lot

How much should I expect a local Reno move to run?
Two movers and a truck are $139 an hour; add a third for $195, with a one-hour minimum either way. Give us the room count and we'll turn that into a set rate instead.
How far out do you go for a local move?
Across the Truckee Meadows and beyond — Sparks, Sun Valley, Spanish Springs, Carson City, Fernley, and the Carson Valley towns of Minden and Gardnerville.
Can you reach a cabin up at Lake Tahoe or on Mount Rose?
Yes. Rafael's crew runs the steep drives, switchbacks and long carries those places demand, so tell us about the access and any winter chain rules when you call.
Is there a charge for pads, dollies or wrap?
It doesn't. Every crew rolls up already carrying pads, dollies, stretch wrap and wardrobe cartons, all covered by the hourly price, so gear never becomes an add-on line.
Are you a real local moving company or a booking service?
A real one. All The Right Moves runs as an owner-operated, fully licensed and insured mover out of a Longley Lane yard here in Reno — our own rigs, our own uniformed movers, and not a broker in sight.

What Moving Day Actually Looks Like

  1. 1

A written figure, usually the same day you call

On our end: Tell us how many rooms, whether the crew faces stairs or a flat walk-out, and where a truck can sit — the written number lands back with you almost right away.

Where you help: Keep your two dates close, plus any gate codes or building-access rules; that’s what sharpens a rough range down to a firm price.

  2. 2

We hold the date and clear the way in

On our end: Parking, gate codes and an elevator hold all get squared away with the building manager or HOA before the date, so the crew rolls the truck straight to your door rather than lugging boxes from down the street.

Where you help: Nail down when you can leave the old place and get into the new one, then flag whichever of those two dates is hardest to shift.

  3. 3

    Wrap, pad, label, load

On our end: Every piece disappears under moving blankets, couches get sealed in stretch wrap, and the bolts from each bed frame or table go into a labeled bag taped to that exact item.

Where you help: Mark each carton with the room it’s headed to, and carry your papers, keys and anything small and valuable yourself instead of loading it.

  4. 4

Load out, haul, carry in, walk through

On our end: Whoever loads your house is who carries it back in at the other end — furniture landed exactly where you ask for it, bed frames reassembled, and all the spent wrap and tape bagged up and gone before we clear out.

Where you help: Walk the place with the chief before the truck pulls out, while anything that needs fixing is still easy to fix.
